"I recently worked with Ahmed from
Pak Oriental Rugs. Not only was the process easy and fun, I found the most beautiful, high-end rug at a reasonable
price. As a designer, I rely on knowledgeable and flexible service. After selecting my top two choices I was
able to review the rug in home at my project location. The rug we purchased is hand-knotted from vegetable dyed 100%
hand spun wool and based on an ancient technique and design from the region where the Taj Mahal is located. The amount
of work that goes into a rug of this caliber is impressive and I am absolutely thrilled with the quality and beauty of the

completely agree with Baiyina H., I had a really nice experience working with Pak Oriental Rugs. I've been to a number
of rug stores throughout the Bay Area and am usually turned off by the "typical persian rug salesman". I
didn't get that feeling at all at Pak. From the moment I walked in to the moment I purchased my beautiful rugs. It
was a hassle free, no pressure process.
I came to learn that at Pak Oriental Rugs no one works on commission so the
staff doesn't feel the need to pressure customers unlike my experiences at other stores. This was my most transparent,
informative rug buying experience ever and they had the best selection I had seen anywhere. I will definitely be back.
I still have my living room and dining room spaces to do. With so many rugs, I'm looking forward to looking
for those when I get back from vacation. Another nice perk was they let me test drive the rug before I bought it.

am on a committee to furnish the lobby of a highrise condo on Lake Merritt in Oakland. When it came time to research rugs
I had included Pak on my sourcing list. I met with Ahmed on several occasions to review rug choices. Each time he allowed
me to borrow a rug to show the HOA board. In the end we selected the third carpet; everyone on the board and committee had
selected that rug as their first choice. We all love it. Ahmed was great to work with. Very knowledgeable about carpets
in a no pressure setting. He was very patient with my process and worked hard to help me find the perfect carpet. I highly

"The other night my
45 pound dog was ill in the night all over my large living room Persian rug as well as one of the runners. Besides
feeling badly for Oliver I was ahhhhhh with stress as it was major not minor! So I called Ahmed of Pak Oriental Rugs
and once again he was wonderfully calm and said he would ask their rug cleaner if he could spot my large rug and then
clean my smaller one to try to save me money. Well, he did and although they have done it many times for me besides
selling me my pretty living room gentle vegetable die rug, I was especially appreciative this time due to a million things
being on my plate. Thanks Ahmed and Anjum for always being there to take care of whatever crops up!!! Oh, they also
redelivered the rug at no charge since it was too heavy for me - that's what I call customer service! So if you have
a pet that occasionally goes a bit ich or just want to work with a really nice family on your redecorating with rugs, I can't
recommend them enough - just nice people."

You can't get any better with the customer service. They actually brought the carpet to my home so i could see

"Definately not your stereotypical rug gallery...this is a beautiful showroom with expert and friendly
service. Ahmed and Anjum certainly go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and share their expertise regarding the fine
art and craftsmanship of their gorgeous collection of rugs from around the world. We had been awaiting delivery of a new
rug from another vendor for 3 months only to discover our order had been further delayed for an additional 3 months. Deciding
not to wait, we went in search of a comparable piece which we never thought we could match in terms of beauty and style.
We found a replacement which was even more outstanding, of exceptional quality, and absolutely perfect for the redesign
of our home. If you are considering purchasing a rug from a catalog or department store, I would highly recommend checking

I went there not knowing what style of rug we were looking for and ended up finding the rug of my dreams. It was a
great experience working with Ahmed who is very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. We spent almost an hour looking
at many, many rugs, talking about colors, patterns, styles, quality, likes, dislikes, etc. and he was able to help us find
the one that I fell in love with. We actually picked out 4 rugs, of different sizes, colors and patterns that they
brought over to our house to see how they worked in our space so that we could be sure it was the right choice. They

looking for rugs for a long time and had actually visited Pak early in the process. After reviewing many different
styles from different vendors in a very wide area we came back to Pak. Both Anjum and Ahmed were knowledgeable and
low pressure and had a good understanding of what we liked. They sorted through their inventory and searched their
large show room spending a few hours with us in the process. With a very broad and very high quality product mix we

"I
just moved to the city and needed a 5x8 to 6x9 sized area rug to cover my hardwood floors and match with a sofa set I just
purchased. I'd visited the store twice. The first time Anjum helped find me a rug that met my style, color and
cost criteria. However, I selected a different style of sofa, so the second time Ahmed, his son, helped find another
3 potential rugs. Father, son and a bunch of guys spent well over an hour pulling back loads of heavy rugs to find
the rugs that would be a good fit and the whole time were very friendly and helpful. Ultimately, when I decided on
the best rug they negotiated a great price for me. I'd visited about 5 other similar area rug stores in the area. They
definitely have either the biggest or are tied for the biggest selections. However, what really set them apart was
that number of hand-knotted rugs (which I think is everyone in their store) that were in my price range. Their competitors
only had a few clearance styles in this price range, or were only hand-tufted rather than hand-knotted. My only constructive
criticism for them would be to organize their rugs by style at a minimum (i.e. antique, classic, modern) to save the customer
and themselves some time, but ultimately they did what it took to find the gems in the huge stacks. At a minimum,
if you're shopping for area rugs you should stop by their showroom to see if they have something that fits your criteria,
because there's a good chance they do"

"I had a great
experience this week at Pak Oriental Rug. My wife and I decided to buy a large persian rug that would have a design
consistent with the rugs we puchased a few years ago. We found a rug that we thought would be perfect and brought
it home. However, the colors were wrong for our decor. The reds were a blue-based red instead of a yellow-based
red. My wife was unhappy. We called up Ahmed and explained the situation. He was very professional and
accommodated the exchange. When we showed up two days later, he had six rugs ready to show us in the classic style
we requested. However, none of these rugs met our liking. Ahmed then had his employees display their inventory
to us and we found four rugs that we did like. In the end we picked a rug that was an equivalent price and just the
right colors. When we got it home we were so happy! I appreciate the genuinely warm greeting by Ahmed and his
father when we arrived to exchange the rug. I was very happy with the time and effort Ahmed put in to help us find
the perfect rug. My wife loved the constant educational narration by Ahmed both during our first and second visits,
where he explained how to tell a good rug and how to care for them. My impression is that Ahmed and his father stand
behind their product and wanted us to be happy. This is as good as it gets."

bought many rugs from Pak Oriental Rugs, and each time we've interacted with Ahmed and his father, we have been incredibly
impressed by their professionalism and customer-driven approach. The selection at the store is second to none, and the staff's
knowledge of it is amazing, as is their willingness to spend enormous amounts of time digging through piles of rugs to find
just the perfect piece to start or finish a space. And as if that weren't enough, if there is nothing in the store's wide
selection to meet your exact needs or specifications, Ahmed won't hesitate to guide his customers through a custom ordering

"I bought
a rug from Ahmed a few months ago and the experience was excellent. I called ahead and told him what size and color I was
looking for. I could come to the store after hours so Ahmed and his staff waited for me. They had pre-selected the size
and colors for me. Ahmed explained to me about the different rugs like regions, knots, dyes, and patterns. He is very knowledgeable
and patient, and his family has been running the business for over 20-years. I narrowed down three rugs and Ahmed
sent his staff over to help me try out the rugs. They placed them, moved furniture around, and very generally very helpful.
It is very important that Ahmed lets to see a few rugs in your home. The rug I liked best in the store looked very different
in the house. I chose a different rug and needless to say I am very happy with it. I have been very happy with the
purchase and have received several complements on the rug. It is very high quality and I will enjoy it for a very long time.
I would recommend Pak Oriental Rugs to my friends for the great quality, wide selection, and reasonable prices."

"Wow, talk
about life savers!
Magenta ink spilled on a very expensive 12' x 4' cream and grey handmade special order 100% wild
silk rug. I was beyond frantic and called Pak Oriental Rug. They were closed for the night but the following day, they phoned
me, came to the house and took the rug away immediately. While it was being cleaned and repaired Anjum would phone
me to let me know the progress and assure me that all was going to be okay. He was very thorough, very professional, very
straight forward. The rug was cleaned/repaired perfectly, you cannot even tell there was anything ever spilled on
it! I hope and pray that nothing like this ever happens to the other rugs but at least I know that if it does Pak Oriental
Rugs can save the day. True professionals."

fine experience purchasing a beautiful rug from Mr Butt at Pak Oriental Rug. He helped search through many heavy stacked
rugs to display the size and shape I needed. The store's inventory is huge. He quoted a price, and then calculated
a reduction to make the purchase a little easier. Mr Butt also put aside my number 2 choice in case I got home and
wished to make an exchange after seeing the new rug in place. I have been delighted with the rug that I purchased,

to other rug dealers in the area, Pak had an amazing selection at excellent prices. The person with whom we dealt let us

"I came to Pak looking for
a rug for my living room.... I left with a gorgeous hand-woven, vegetable dyed, Pakistani tribal rug which I love.
I feel good about having a rug of high quality made with natural dyes for my little one to crawl around on.
It
is a father and son running the business and they were extremely helpful. They have quite a large selection with many
styles to choose from as well as various price points. The son, Ahmed, took lots of time with me to narrow down my choices
and then let me bring home my two favorites to try out in the space. There was no pressure to bring them back right
away or to buy. The price was fair and I am extremely happy with my experience overall.

"I highly recommend Pak Oriental Rug for anyone who is shopping for rugs. They have an outstanding
selection and often get new rugs in there store, so they aren't trying to sell rugs that are picked over, like many other
rug stores. I'm guessing that they can turn their inventory over quicker and get new rugs since they sell them at wholesale
prices and have lots of large retail customers. Although, unlike many other rug stores, Pak gives ALL their customers
excellent, wholesale pricing for their high-quality imported rugs.
I've shopped at many other rug stores in
NYC, LA, and all of SF including the design center, and I keep coming back to Pak. I like the way they do business
with their customers and they aren't pushy and they will let you take the rug home to see how it looks, before committing
to make a purchase. Many times I have returned rugs that didn't work out in my house, and they don't give me a hard
time or make me feel like a jerk for bringing it back. More often than not, I'm happy with my rug choice and decide
to keep them after bringing it home. My rugs from Pak look beautiful in my home and wear very well over time and I
get lots of complements on them. I've never regretted a purchase made at this store, like I have at some others (don't
ask me how many rugs from other places I have in my attic).
In summary, I recommend that everyone begin their rug
search at Pak because they such an amazing selection, fabulous prices, and they make the whole process very easy and pleasant.
On a personal note, I would like to thank Pak for providing SF with a terrific store that imports beautiful rugs and
sells them to the public for reasonable, fair prices. I will be back soon and, P.S., I need a 12' runner in my usual,
muted colors with an old world, antique look. I'll see you soon!!!"
